My Letter To My Brother

WALT: Write a letter to a family member or best friend about an imaginary trip to the tundra

  1. Mōrena Chace,

What a great letter you have written to your brother! I am so impressed with the quality of your writing, and the comparisons you have made to New Zealand. I think you meant to write the average temperature is -28? It's very cold in the Tundra!

It is quite incredible that the animals have adapted to the cold climate. Which animal would you be most excited to see in real life? I would love to see a polar bear in the wild, however, it would need to be from a distance as I'm sure they'd be quite scary if you got them agitated or angry.

Keep up the great work Chace!
    Nga mihi, Georgia.

  4. Kia Ora Chace!

I just wanted to say a big congratulations on participating in the Summer Learning journey, it is the last day today and we are so proud of all you’ve accomplished! I hope you have enjoyed this programme as much as I have.

I really loved your activity ‘More than meets the eye’, the one with Sir Edmund Hillary! The questions you asked were very thoughtful and meaningful, especially the question ‘why did you want to climb Mount Everest?’. Did you enjoy this activity?

Well I hope this year is going to be your best year! We are really looking forward to having you back next summer, I bet it will come around super quick :)

Best wishes for you and your Whanau.

    See you next summer!
    Georgia E
