I think we were successful because our DLO has everything it needed, we made it by ourselves and we had good pronunciation.

My purpose I wonder what will happen if you mix and egg and coke.	2. Hypothesis I predict the egg will have a difference to what it was like before.
Material Water, Red bull zero coca cola zero, coke, orange juice, sparkling water, E2, milk                       pH scale Eggs x9	3. Procedure Today’s date: 16/11/17 Firstly we put the drink in a container with an egg   After that we put a pH scale in it. The colour changed in most drinks. Then we looked at how much acid was in them by looking at the colour. To finish off we need to crack the egg open and see if there has something changed. Monday 20th Today we are going to closely observe the eggs to see what happened inside the egg.
4. Observation In the red bull and red bull zero the egg's shell is COMING OFF.  And NOW THE NEXT LAYER IS COMING APART The E2’s egg is GREEN, and it is being CRACKED. The juices egg looks the same as the red bull Small cracks in the coke a cola. Today the E2 drink (also known as energy drink) the egg inside it looks like a half boiled egg. We cracked the eggs and the orange juice egg bent when we cracked it. Some eggs were fragile like the red bull.	5. Conclusion (what I learned) We learned that putting an egg in coke will only crack it. And we were using a scale called PH scale it was pretty boring cause I had to put the PH Scale stick for 5 - 10 minutes.

Introduction

I am going to explain why sugary drinks are bad for your health.

Acid in drinks

One reason why surgery drinks are bad is because there is acid in them. Do you know what acid is? If you don’t i will tell you. Acid is a very bad liquid that is not good for humans. Humans do have acid in them but that’s different acid that helps break down the food. Did you know that every fizzy drink has acid (especially coke) Coke Zero has acid actually lots of acid it can even RUST A COIN! If it’s strong enough to rust a coin think of what it’s doing to your mouth. It is erosive to your teeth. There's acid in: Juice, fizzy, energy drinks, V and even milk, but milk is only slightly acidic.

Gaining weight

The second reason is that sugary drinks can make you gain weight. When you gain weight you will also get other health problems such as: diseases, heart damage and diabetes . No one will want that. Don’t drink sugary drinks unless you want heart damage or some kind of disease. If you gain weight by drinking sugary drinks you will get type 2 diabetes.

Dissolve

The last reason that you shouldn't drink sugary drinks is so your teeth don’t dissolve. You don’t want to be a gummy bear and have no teeth just because you just kept drinking sugary drinks. Don’t do this to yourself, the only way to stop this is just don’t drink sugary drinks.

Conclusion

So in conclusion sugary drinks are bad for your health because they: dissolve your teeth, make you gain weight (which leads to other health problems) and there is hidden acid in it.

Sports is important!

I believe sports is important. Do you? I think so.

The first reason why I think it’s important is so you can become fit. If you become fit you can run very fast. Do you want to become fit and fast? If you do then listen to me. Do you want to be fast, having that adrenaline pump through your body. How appalling would it be just sitting down watching tv, not getting any friends. That will be just boring. Why would you do that to yourself, instead you could just play sports.  

The second reason is so we can get healthy bodies. We can be fast, strong and healthy. That’s what everyone wants isn’t it? Won’t it be awesome if this happens to you. You can zoom around and score lots of tries. You will be full of energy. You will also start getting loads of friends as you play. It’ll be tragic staying inside, not getting healthy just being a couch potato. It would be magnificent if lots of people play sports.

The last reason is sports is fun. You don’t stay inside all day. It will be disappointing to see people stay inside, not doing anything but sitting down watching TV. That will be outrages. It will be tremendous with people getting up and going outside to play sports. You could be in some competitions, The Olympics or even rugby league. Who would want to stay inside and be a couch potato? I don’t. You could at least play at your house. Would you like to be fat and obese?I don’t. That is just called lazy if you do want to be fat and obese. No one wants to be a blob fish and do nothing.

So in summary I believe sports is important because you can be healthy, fit and have fun.

In class I am doing an experiment about sugary & diet drinks. Are they harmful?
We used an egg on different drinks to see what will happen.
I am holding a pH scale and I put it into a container of E2/Energy drink.
My hypothesis is I predict the egg will have a difference to what it was like before.
when I left the pH strip in the E2 for 2 minutes it turned yellow (the top of the pH strip turned yellow)
We put them in the containers to see how acidic (how much acid) it is/is in it.
I learnt that most energy drinks are acidic.

I learnt families can be helpful. Our mum provided us props to use for this movie. She made the horses, gave me an apron and gave my brother a hat

Something I found hard was the acting.

Something I found easy was I had only 3! lines. By lines I mean I only had to talk 3 lines.

My next step is to be more confidant.

Do you know children are working today?

In class I had to write a recount from the perspective (view) of a child working in a sweatshop. I chose to be a kid working in a Acer factory

I was learning to proof-read our work to improve the accuracy of our complex punctuation.


To be successful I will:
Carefully read it to check each sentences makes sense
Use speech marks at the beginning and ending of direct speech and have punctuation within in

Carefully read it to check each sentence begins with a capital letter and end with either a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark

Add detail to parts that need it

On one dark morning in China my buzzer went off and I said, “Come on I’m still tired.” It was 4:00 and I had to get ready for work. Hi I am Crag. I was in China walking to the Acer sweat shop. When I got there the boss (Benson) yelled ,“You are late! Get to your station!” “Ok” I quiverd. I went to my station and started putting the parts together.

Hours later. Beep! Went the bell. It was time for lunch. “At least I could have a break,” I said. All I had was a bowl of dirty rice. Minutes later beep! The bell went again. “But I haven't eaten anything yet,” I said. Then I quickly gobbled up the rice and went back to work. I was able to smell the fumes, I couldn't stand them but I still had to work.

Minutes later Bang! “What was that?” I said. I had a look Yan had fainted. “Yan get up it’s not time to sleep!’’ Benson yelled, “Does Benson really think Yan just fell asleep?” I thought. “Everyone just keep working nothing to see here” the boss demanded. I always find the boss to be mean. I was still able to smell all the toxic fumes.“I wish I had a job that doesn’t include toxins” I moaned. At that moment, Beeep! The bell went yay it was finally 8:00 I can now go home. On my way back home I was thinking of another job to do. THE END.

Three Days Without Mum

Start:  “Yay!” I said because we were going to Kerikeri. First we stopped at the Warehouse. We looked around for a few minutes and we went to where the Lego was. Next we scanned a few to see the prices. Most of them were too expensive for me so I scanned one of the smallest boxes. We got a box each. I was so excited. My smile glued to my face.

We went to our dad to see what he was doing. He told me ,“Come and have a look for some Jeans Chace” I looked at them and he said ,“There are these black ones, or these other ones” I looked at some and I said “These ones” So I grabbed the jeans I wanted. They were expensive. (My dad was buying them anyway) I went to the changing room to try them on. They were a good fit but my dad said “You will have to wear a belt with those jeans ,” I said “I know where a belt is” Happiness was bubbling up inside me.

After that we went to get some pizza. Our dad bought about five boxes of Hawaiian pizza and we had a box each, also he got a pizza for himself but he had a pepperoni pizza. He also bought two boxes of chips. When the pizzas were ready we went into the car. We were eating the chips. We shared the boxes Hilton and I shared one and dad and Tristan shared one. The chips were delicious. Then we ate some pizza. It was yummy to. Then we were heading back home. It was a really fun time
