Blog Comment of the week

Hello everybody. Right at the bottom of this sentence is my comment that I put on my friends blog. I think it is good because it is not missing any punctuation or grammar. (I think) But it is still good. By Chace.

Hi Neko. It's me Chace. I don't really understand what all of this is. I mean it is just confusing. It is like you just wrote a lot of words for the sake of it. What are you trying to tell people? 3 things that you should have are 1. A title 2. A WALT 3. A Success criteria. Hope you remember that for next time. Blog you later.

Microbeads Are Bad!

WALT Summarise key ideas.
SC: I will

  • Create a flow chart sequencing my ideas.

  • Summarise what they mean.

Pepeha

WALT: do our pepeha
SC: I will

  • Speck loud and clear
  • Not sound like a robot
  • Pronounce words right
In this video I made a mistake at the end so if you find that, you won't need that to be in your comment. Also if you want to know the English version to my pepeha then you will have to pause the video because I didn't say that part. So I hope you enjoy the video.

Reading time!

WALT: Read
SC:

  • Speak clearly
  • Say the right words
  • Read at 1 minute and 30 seconds
I read for 1 minute and 27 seconds. So I was under the time limit, but I think that this is still good. By the way this book is called Cyclone Christmas.

Cross Country is finally over!

Huffing and puffing is all I was doing well I was running.
Oh and before I say this I will tell you that the whole school
did Cross Country at Mrs Parahas farm. Mrs Paraha is
the room 3 teacher at our school. Plus one thing
I have to tell you is that Cross Country Sucks.
Seriously though it sucks because all you do is run so you
can run again at a bigger farm then you run again at
an even bigger farm and OMG it’s like just wasting energy
for nothing. The hardest part was when I had to run with a big
stitch. But I didn’t care about going to Ohaeawai. I don’t even
like running there, because it is like 2x the size of the farm we
run. Who would want to do that. I also had to run 2 laps so
that would probably be the same as running at Ohaeawai.
Comment down below if you like or don’t like Cross Country
either. That’s if you know what it is.
Thank you for reading my story. Hope you liked it.

Wheel Words is being used at our school

We've been looking at ways that we can improve on our vocabulary and spelling.  We've found an online site that will hopefully encourage the students to do this.  At the moment their finding it difficult to get great results with practice.  Here is what I got. Don't judge me, i'm just starting.

Survey results

Today we used google forms to create a survey as a part of our statistics unit.

Together we asked questions and sent the link to our class.

Matariki animation!

WALT: Create a stop motion, animation movie.
SC: We will:

We hope you enjoy.
  • Use small movements to capture our story.
  • Plan a storyboard
  • Limit our film to 2-3 minutes.
  • Use Matariki as our topic.
What we learnt and enjoyed.
We really liked making this movie. Everyone else used stop motion but we decided to use Google Slides to show our Matariki movie. We wanted to show how people and animals celebrate Matariki and share a story.
What we will do next time.
We told our audience what was happening in this film. I think we can improve by just showing our audience what is happening through the images and actions.
We were also well over 3 minutes movie limit. We were at 7 minutes and 23 seconds.
Hope you enjoy.
